Have you worked or are you currently working in public safety (e.g. EMS, fire, police, corrections)? Have you experienced a traumatic event or events? Has this experience negatively impacted the way you think or feel? We are seeking adults ages 18-75 to participate in a research study exploring alternative treatments for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This study will investigate two programs – the Health Enhancement Program and Sudarshan Kriya Yoga. Joining the study requires that you attend five 3-hour training sessions in the first week of the study and seven 90-minute follow-up sessions over a period of 12 weeks. Participation also involves attending 6 study assessments that are 1-2 hours in length. If you are enrolled in and complete the study you may receive relief in your symptoms of PTSD, although it is possible you may not experience any benefits from participating.
