The Research Group

Students in the Branfireun Lab come from around the globe, and work on globally-relevant problems.  Conducting research at the nexus of environmental change and the fate and transport of environmental contaminants, the team and its scientific and community partners address issues focussing on the impacts of climate change on wetland ecosystems, mercury in contaminated and remote pristine environments, and the mechanisms governing mercury bioaccessibility, bioavailability, and biomagnification. Please email Dr. Branfireun from the website link to find out what opportunities are available.
