I studied my Bachelor in Plant Protection at Chamran University of Ahvaz in Iran where among all the diseases and pests infecting the plants, I became interested in wonderful world of insects. So I continued my studying as a Master student at Isfahan University of Technology in Agricultural Entomology. My master thesis was emphasized on tritrophic interactions between plants, herbivores, and predators.

I moved to London in January 2012 and started my research on the effect of cold temperature on immune response of Drosophila melanogaster. We’re trying to find the mechanisms that may be activated by cold, and see which parts of these mechanisms are affected by cold temperature . We hope to be able to do further studies on the genes responsible for this effect.
