I am a third year undergraduate biology student at the University of Western Ontario who stumbled upon research when working in Dr. Sinclair’s lab in the summer of my second year. I started out working with crickets and then progressed to a stick insect wrangler. I thoroughly enjoy learning and working with different animals. I am currently working with the Asian long-horned beetle (Anoplophora glabripennis) at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre in Sault Ste. Marie as part of the Science Internship Program. When I am not wrangling insects I enjoy doing visual arts including sketching and painting. This passion has followed me throughout my life where I would draw out the places that I have visited and document my travels. I have also implemented sketching when I am visualizing an equipment setup in a scientific protocol and has greatly helped in learning new concepts. Email me |
