I received my Doctoral degree in Biology in 2012 from the University of Eastern Finland, Finland. In my doctoral project I focused on temperature and predation as potential constraints for survival and geographical distribution of an invasive ectoparasite, deer ked (Lipoptena cervi). During the following post doc era in Finland, I studied cold tolerance related traits of other invasive arthropods. In 2015, I got European Marie Curie Individual Fellowship for studying impacts and underlying mechanisms of multiple stressors among Drosophila species. The project started in September 2015, when I began to work in the Sinclair Lab. For the first two years of the project I will be conducting my research here in the UWO, Sinclair Lab. In the third year of the project I will move back to Finland and continue the research in the University of Eastern Finland. Although the official abbreviation of my project is TePaChe (temperature, pathogens and chemicals), I have not had any tepache yet. Email me |
