Facility Overview |

ChB 12 The X-ray facility is located in room 12 on the ground floor of the Chemistry Building. There are two computer stations located in this room, one for data collection on the Nonius instrument and one workstation for structure solution/refinement. ChB 12A The X-ray facility manager's office. ChB 12B This is a specially designed room with the three diffractometers and a crystal selection/mounting station. The temperature and humidity are both under strict control to maintain optimal conditions for data collection. ChB 12C The maintenance room contains the essential equipment required to run the diffractometers such as Haskris units, 100L liquid nitrogen dewar, etc. |
The common room has two computers available; one for structure solutions and one for structural database searches. |
The X-ray facility is equipped with a polarized microscope for crystal selection and mounting. |
