LIS 523 - JavaScript Search Engine

This page is designed to demonstrate the use of JavaScript to provide a simple search engine for the course Web site.

It is intended for browsers that support both the non-standard innerHTML property and either the HTTPRequest object or the ActiveXObject object with the argument "Microsoft.XMLHTTP". It should work in current versions of all common graphical browsers, though, for unknown reasons, it seems rather slow in Opera 8.

In an older browser, like Netscape 4 or Opera 7, clicking the button will just do nothing or result in a JavaScript error.
