AFFILIATED SOCIETIES

In 1995, the Division began forging links with museum groups, amateur paleontology societies, natural history clubs, and other groups with an interest in paleontology. The goal of this "Affiliates Program" is to promote interaction between Division members and the paleontologically-interested public, to communicate common concerns, and promote volunteer work. Affiliated societies receive a copy of Eon and the Directory of Canadian Paleontologists; affiliates report their activities and announce symposia in Eon. The Division encourages its members to volunteer some of their time to assist these groups whenever and however possible.
