RESEARCH & INTEREST
My area of research is mainly focused in Medieval Literature developed in Spain by Muslim and Jewish communities who lived in the Iberian Peninsula until Christian rule until 1492.Before this period, the Jewish community flourished all over the country especially in the literary aspect with the composition of ballads, songs and prayers transmitted from generation to generation, from mother to daughter surviving until today through the Sephardic communities of the Mediterranean.
I am also very interested in examining the language of Ladino o Djudeo-espanyol spoken by the Sephardic Jews living in the Balkans, Turkey, Greece and Israel.
Another area of my research deals with Medieval and Modern Spanish History, as well as the Sephardic Diaspora in the colonies of the New World. Visit the following sites of interest:
