Biographical Note

Don Kerr received his undergraduate training in anthropology prior to shifting into sociology and demography in graduate school.  He came to King's College in July 2003 after teaching for three years in the Sociology Department on the main campus.  Prior to 2000, he worked for several years as a population analyst for Development and Demographic Methods Section, Demography Division at Statistics Canada in Ottawa.  His research interests lie in the area of population studies, with a particular interest in Canadian demography.  He is also currently a Professional Associate at the Population Studies Center at the University of Western Ontario.
