  • Reminder: the sections of CS 1000 are taught independently of one another. Although some of the material will overlap, students in section 001 cannot attend lectures for section 002 (and vice versa).

Required Texts:

  2. M.T. Boatwright, et al., eds. A Brief History of the Romans. Oxford University Press 2006.

The required and recommended texts are available at the UWO Bookstore. Often these texts will be available used and students may use either new or used editions. For those who are unable to afford the texts, one copy of each has been placed on reserve at D.B. Weldon Library.

Note: students who choose not to purchase copies of the texts remain responsible for completing the reading assignments for the course.

Other Resources: A Facebook group has been created for this section of CS 1000. Feel free to join. Students are encouraged to use the group as a resource for any missed notes, questions for discussion, and for study groups.

Grading

1. First Test (in class, October 28): 20%
2. Christmas Test (as scheduled by the Registrar): 30%
3. Third Test (in class, February 24 ): 20%
4. Final Exam (as scheduled by the Registrar): 30%
