Handling
- Always
use lint-free cotton gloves (esp. for reel to reel)
- Just
as discs should be held only on the edges and label, reels of tape should be
carried by the hub or centre.
- Ensure
that reel-to-reel tape has a 2' leader tape at each end
- Ensure
that the tape heads and the rollers on the playback machine are clean (use
Q-tips and alcohol)
