- Archives
Association of Ontario / L'Association des Archives de l'Ontario is the professional association for Ontario archivists. This site provides useful links to all archival matters relating to Canada, as well as other Canadian organizations.
- Association of Canadian Archivists
(ACA) This site for Canada's national professional association has useful links to the ACA's
position papers, educational opportunities, etc.
- Conservation On-Line (CoOL) is a project of the Preservation Department of Stanford University Libraries. A full-text library of conservation information, it covers a wide spectrum of topics regarding the conservation of library, archives and museum materials, plus links to various preservation topics, people, organizations, mailing list, and more.
- Library and Archival Exhibitions on the Web is a site sponsored by the
Smithsonian and features links to on-line exhibitions that have been created
by libraries, archives, historical societies and museums.
Northeast Document Conservation Center - Preservation Leaflets - Excellent up-to-date primers on preserving all types of documentation, etc., produced by the Northeast Document
Preservation Center.
Ready, 'Net, Go! Archival Internet Resources hails from Tulane University and provides an archival 'meta-index', or index of archival indexes. From here you can be directed to the major indexes, lists, and databases of archival resources, allowing you to link to every archives and archival resource in the metaverse.
Repositories of Primary Sources "provides a listing of over 4600 web sites describing holdings of manuscripts, archives, rare books, historical photographs, and other primary sources for the research scholar. All links have been tested for correctness and appropriateness."
Saskatchewan Council of Archives - Basic RAD This site provides an excellent primer on RAD and is especially useful for those who feel
intimidated by the larger RAD manual.
The Society of American Archivists is the American professional association. This site provides a good window on current archival issues. See, in particular, their internal link entitled "News and Position Papers."
