| The ChemClub and it's members are involved in many activites throughout the year. You can read about our activites below, and also see the fun we have on our pictures page. |
| 1. Annual Fund Raising Event - Safety Glasses Sale - First two weeks of classes |
| The UWO ChemClub is a financially independent organization. We generate our own revenue by selling safety glasses to the first year chemistry students. The price of each pair of glasses is $10, which is less expensive than some of the lower quality glasses sold on campus. All profit will be used to support our activities in the coming year. |
| 2. Quaff with the Prof (I and II) |
| This is a social event to promote networking between undergraduate students and professors in Chemistry. They will meet and mingle informally with free pizza and drinks. |
| 3. Updating the ChemClub Display Case in Front Lobby - Around October |
| In this display we post information about upcoming events and activities, acknowledge recent UWO award and scholarship recipients. The display case needs to be updated yearly with new information and pictures. |
| 4. 17th National Chemistry Week - October 13-20th, 2007 |
| Event date: Sat Oct 20th 2007, Venue is: White Oaks Mall, Time: 9am-5pm
As previous years, we will set up a booth at White Oaks Mall in London, Ontario to promote chemistry. Exhibits will include slime making, the dry ice blaster, liquid nitrogen and candy chromatography. |
| 5. Southwestern Ontario Undergraduate Chemistry Conference |
| March 15, 2008, at Queen's University in Kingston, ON |
| There are many other ChemClub activities that have not made this list as well. The activities listed are those that occur on a year to year basis, while those not listed are activites decided upon by this year's executive and membership. If you have an idea for an activity you would like to see incorporated into our schedule, please let us know. |
