Digital editing can change the appearance of images considerably

Image 1 was taken on a cloudy day in London, England

Image 2 is the same photograph with the changes shown below

The following changes were made to Image 1 to create Image 2

  • the grey clouds are replaced with blue sky and white clouds
  • the image of the Houses of Parliament and the sky was copied
     and pasted onto the original image
  • the pasted image was then inverted and moved downwards to create the appearance of a reflection
  • a blur effect has been added to the reflected part
  • "water" was created using Adobe Photoshop tools
