I am a doctoral student in History at the University of Western Ontario. My dissertation in progress examines the relationship between Canadian national identity and British Columbia regional identity in the nineteenth- and twentieth centuries. More generally, my research interests include Canadian cultural, intellectual, and political history; Canada and the Pacific Rim; social memory/historical consciousness; and the history of the North American West.
