I am a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Centre for Brain and Mind at the University of Western Ontario, under the supervision of Prof. Melvyn A. Goodale.
I completed my PhD entitled 'Rightward Biases During Bimanual Coordination' in 2008 at the University of Aberdeen, under the supervision of Dr. David P. Carey (now at Bangor).
I am interested in how we perceive the world and how we pand and control our actions. I am also interested in how perception and action are linked to one another - (1) How action alters our ability to perceive things in different modalities, (2) how our perception of the world through various our senses influences movement, and (3) how these interactions between perception and action are mediated by cognitive factors, such as our expectations about the properties of objects, or the situational/environmental context. More specific details of my various projects can be found on the Research page.
Should you feel so inclined, you can now try chatting to me in real time if I am online (the small circle below will be green). Please, for the love of God, let me know who I'm talking to though. Chat away (opens in new page/tab). |
