Zoogeography and the Sea
: INDEX
In these three lectures I shall address the following:
-
1.
introduce the role that oceans have played in determining the geographic
distribution of earth's terrestrial animals - what we call "zoogeography".
This will involve us in some very ancient history;
-
2.
provide some detail on three specific zoogeographic matters - Wallace's
Line, the Great American Faunal Interchange, and the entry of humans into
the New World.
