My research interests include social
geography, geography of health, environment and health,
and particularly the perception/construction of technological environmental
risks, community-level negotiation of risk, social impacts of technological
hazards and, health and place - as well as noxious
facility siting and, environmental impact assessment.
My methodological interestes include strategically juxtaposing quantitative
methods and qualitative methods. Current and
past studies use combinations of face-to-face semi-structured in-depth
interviews, focus groups and telephone surveys.
