Our laboratory is located in Room 133 Sieben's-Drake Research Institute Dr. McCormick is Assistant Professor in the Dept of Microbiology & Immunology, Scientist in the Lawson Health Research Institute, and a member in the Canadian Research and Development Centre for Probiotics and Infectious Diseases Research Groups. He holds a New Investigator Award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. |
Recruitment
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about science, are team players, have some research experience (e.g. Honor's thesis project), and are interested in learning cutting edge techniques in the molecular biology of Gram-positive bacteria. Ultimately, the applicant should be following a career path in science and research. The applicant should be a recent graduate from a recognized instition and be eligible for admission to the Graduate Program in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Western Ontario. Excellent academic standing with the potential for receiving external scholarships will be an advantage. For recent publications from our group, please see the "publications" link.
