These pages are intended as an aid to those interested in the study of the Early Region 1A (E1A) products of human Adenovirus 5 (Ad5). The proteins encoded by Ad5 E1A have proven useful as tools for dissecting the mechanisms of complex cellular processes such as the regulation of gene expression, cell growth and differentiation. This site contains information on E1A mutations and their phenotypes, cellular proteins targeted by E1A, general data on E1A, etc. We hope that it will become a useful source of information for all who have an interest in Ad5 E1A and encourage the submission of data to be included in this resource.

The Mymryk laboratory is busy working on aspects of the molecular biology of Adenovirus and other small DNA tumor viruses.
A few photos of the laboratory personnel over the years are shown below.

We work at a hospital located in a small farming community

Hope you find this site useful, and feel free to visit my lab's website.
