ST. LAWRENCE STRING QUARTET

The St. Lawrence String Quartet consists of four string players who perform music by the great composers from the eigthteenth century to the present day. The quartet has studied with the Emerson, Tokyo and Juilliard String Quartets, and won major competitions in 1992. Since 1998 they have held the position of Ensemble in Residence at Stanford University in California. They have given over 2000 concerts in more than 20 countries in four continents. In addition they have an outreach program that brings their music to children.

They record for EMI/ANGEL. Their recordings have been nominated for four JUNOs and two GRAMMYs, and they have been awarded one JUNO (Canadian equivalent of the US GRAMMY).
