About Me
I am an academic who specializes in industrial relations and human resources and their related fields (i.e., sociology of work, labour studies).
I have many research interests, but two are top of mind right now. First I conduct research on the video game industry. Specifically I am interested in the working conditions, workplace representation and human resources processes of video game developers. Second, I conduct research on pension governance and examine the role of member and labour trustees on pension boards.
In addition to the above topics, I have published articles and book chapters on topics including pregnancy leave, underemployment, job control, workplace learning and union education.
I have just joined the ranks of academic staff at the University of Western Ontario in London and I will be teaching undergraduate courses in Industrial Relations and Training and Development and a masters level course in Project Management.
