First term
1. Organizational meeting for students on the job market:
Monday September 13. 4:00 - 5:30 in TC 305.
A meeting for students who are contemplating applying for academic jobs this year. If you'll be sending out any job applications this academic year it's strongly recommended that you attend this meeting.

3. Mock interviews.
To be scheduled in early December each year for students on the market. Please e-mail me to sign up.

Second term
1. General placement meeting.
A discussion of the steps you should take in your time as a graduate student to prepare yourself for the academic job market, and an overview of the application procedure. Students at all stages of their degrees are not just welcome but encouraged to attend.

2. Publishing and presenting papers at conferences.
A discussion of what's involved in getting your work published and in presenting papers at conferences.
