I'm the Associate Dean, Academic & Research at King's University College at Western University.
I hold the rank of Associate Professor in Psychology. My expertise is in forensic developmental psychology with a focus on memory: I study (1) interviewing techniques to facilitate young children's memory, and (2) developmental changes in face recognition and lineup performance. My research is published in academic journals such as Applied Cognitive Psychology, Law & Human Behavior, Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. More information about my research program is here.
I'm pleased to share my expertise with the community: I've given talks for the London Police Services and the London Middlesex Children's Aid Society on interviewing children and I've served as an expert witness and consultant in several Canadian legal cases. My appearances in the media include several interviews with CBC Radio, Maclean's, and the Globe & Mail.
I teach courses in Psychology & Law, Forensic Psychology, and Developmental Psychology. I was awarded the Western University Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in 2001 and I received the King's University College Award in Teaching in 2010. More information on my teaching is here and here is my detailed guide about graduate and professional programs for psychology students.
