Honors thesis student supervision

I supervise several honors thesis students from King's each year who complete their 4th-year honors thesis under my guidance.

The courses I teach provide a good foundation for the types of projects I usually supervise. All s
tudents interested in working with me should have done well in Research Methods in Psychology. Students with developmental research interests should also have done well in Developmental Psychology; it is very beneficial if the student has also taken Cognitive Psychology, and it is helpful if the student has taken and Psychology & Law or Forensic Psychology, prior to their thesis year. Students with forensic research interests should have done well in Cognitive Psychology and Psychology & Law or Forensic Psychology, prior to their thesis year.

Interested 3rd-year honors specialization students are welcome to email me to set up an appointment in the late fall or early winter before their 4th (final) year to talk about possible thesis projects.

I am delighted that many of the thesis students and undergraduate research assistants that I have worked with in recent years have successfully gone on to Master's and PhD programs in forensic psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, and counselling psychology at universities across Canada, including Simon Fraser
University, University of Calgary, McMaster University, Brock University, University of Ottawa, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of Western Ontario; other alumni from my lab have gone on to earn graduate degrees in law, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, industrial relations, social work, and education (teachers' college) from the University of Toronto, Queen's University, the University of Western Ontario, Lakehead University, and the University of Ottawa.
