Metastasio Bibliography (arr. chronologically)

UNDER CONSTRUCTION This bibliography contains writings about Metastasio. A list of Metastasio editions is provided separately, and a database of Metastasian librettos and their various musical settings is in progress. Considering the vastness and the diversity of writings about Metastasio, a definitive bibliography may well be impossible. Nevertheless, the following compilation is offered as a start, and the site director will be glad to add both further contributors to the list below and their additions to this bibliography.
