The Fanshawe Rowing Corporation was formed in 1994 to host
the Commonwealth Rowing Championships during August of that year at Fanshawe
Lake in London, Ontario, Canada. In 1996 the Corporation's name was changed
to the London Rowing Society (LRS). The LRS consists of a board of directors
and officers who are charged with the tasks of hosting regattas and helping
to build and to maintain the rowing facilities at the Fanshawe Lake site.
