Footage from the game was originally shown at E³ 2004 in the form of a short trailer, and a second trailer was later shown at the 2005 Game Developers Conference. It features a realistic art style (similar to but more advanced than that found in Ocarina of Time), rather than the cartoon look that The Wind Waker exhibited.
