Christine Caputo

Christine was born in the southern Ontario town of Windsor and after moving around a bit, her family finally settled in the beautiful city of Ottawa, which is where she calls home. She graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and then moved on to McGill University in Montreal where she completed a Masters degree in Bioorganic Chemistry. Christine spent some time working at Torcan Chemical in Aurora, Ontario where she developed processes for the scale-up manufacture of pharmaceuticals. She has recently come to London to pursue her Ph.D. and is looking forward to learning all about organometallics.

Christine enjoys tossing around a frisbee with friends in her spare time and is excited about playing for the UWO Ultimate Team. She has recently taken up the oh-so-frustrating game of golf and tries not to get The Rage too often on the course.

Christine is making chiral phosphenium cations for use as ligands in palladium-catalyzed copolymerization reactions.
