Rock is in his seventh year as head coach of the Mustangs and has had great success to date, finishing his first seven seasons with an overall league and play-off record of 68 wins, 14 losses and 20 ties. The team has won 4 West Division Championships and 4 OUA Provincial Championships. Rock is no stranger to CIAU soccer reaching the Nationals in 4 out of the last 7 years. The team won a Silver Medal at the 1996 National Championshipat York University, placed 5th at Dalhousie and won back-to-back National Championships in 1998 & 1999 in Montreal and Victoria.

Rock was a successful player for Western earning OUA All-Star honours in 76 & 77. He was the team captain for 3 years and the Most Valuable Player in 1977. Rock was the recipient of Western's 2nd highest athletic honour - the Purple Blanket. He became an assistant coach from 1983-86 and rejoined the team again as an assistant in 1995, before taking the helm. Rock has also coached at the youth, high school, provincial, semi-professional and professional level (London Lasers - CSL) and in 1997 completed his "A" License through the Canadian Soccer Association.

Rock was recently inducted into the Western Mustangs "W" Club Sports Hall of Fame in the fall of 2000.

* Currently the Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association District Coach responsible for player and coaching development in the London and surrounding area.
* Nominated for the 2000 3M Coaching Canada Awards in recognition of outstanding contribution to Coaching and the Advancement of the Sport of Soccer.

Steve has been an associate coach at Western from 1996 to1998 and from 2001 to present. He was a member of the coaching staff that won 3 consecutive OUA Provincial championships from 1996 to1998. The team also reached the CIAU National Championships for 3 consecutive years, won a Silver Medal at York University in 1996, placed 5th at Dalhousie in 1997, and won the National Championship at McGill in 1998.

Steve played for the Mustangs from 1985 to 1989 and was the captain from 1987to1989. He was selected as the Most Valuable Player for Western in 1987 and 1989. Steve was awarded the UWO Bronze "W" in 1988 and was selected as a 1st Team OUA All-Star in 1989. Steve was the captain of the team that traveled to the National Championship in Victoria in 1989. This was Western's first trip to a National soccer championship and the team placed fifth.

Steve has also coached at the youth, high school and club level with the St. Thomas Premiere team. He just recently completed part one of the Ontario Soccer Association "B" Licence coaching course in the spring of 2002.
