Dr. Macfie’s independent research program is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council.

 

Dr. Macfie also received funding from the Metals in the Human Environment Strategic Network (Plant and Soil Group 5).

 

Dr. Macfie and her students are members of the Canadian Society of Plant Physiologists.  Annual Meetings are held in June or July; the Eastern regional meeting is held in early December.

 

Dr. Macfie and some of her collaborators perform many of their 

synchrotron-based experiments at the Argonne National Laboratory

Advanced Photon Source.

 

The Macfie lab uses this freeware program to estimate chemical

equilibria in hydroponic and soil solutions.
