Specialization: analytic geometry

I am currently working in the area of semialgebraic geometry, with a focus on arc-analytic functions. Arc-analytic functions turn out to be flexible yet strong tools in the study of, in particular, semialgebraic sets. For instance, Nullstellensatz is true in the algebraic geometry formed by pairing semialgebraic sets with the ring of arc-analytic functions. My contribution to this subject includes a proof of a conjecture that states every arc-symmetric set is the zero locus of an arc-analytic function and the introduction of a theory of decomposition of semialgebraic sets into irreducible components.
I have done research also in complex analytic geometry. That includes the study of points at which a complex morphism is not open or is not flat and the development of effective methods to test for such properties, particularly in the general case where the target space of the morphism can be singular.
