Biography

  Born Victor Stephen Cherneski on April 1, 1957 in Fort William Ontario Canada. ( now the city of Thunder Bay) 

    Vik grew up in the tiny northern community of Loon Lake, 50 Km. east of Thunder Bay.  He spent his youth fishing and hunting the northern Canadian woods.  At the age of nine he picked up his fathers acoustic guitar and learned the few chords and country songs his father knew.  But Rock &Roll was calling and by the time he was a teenager, Vik formed his first band, Cosmic Playground. (a name pulled from the lyrics of a Uriah Heep song) and thus began the long strange journey of the snow bound kid from Loon Lake.
