Old Scroll (original title) is a geography puzzle novel published in Turkey and Korea. Two boys eat something they shouldn’t and start aging at a rate of one year per day! Having a little over two months left to live, they scramble for a cure which comes in the form of an old scroll — a living map of the Earth which asks questions and expects correct answers or else... As if the kids didn’t have enough trouble, they have to ditch a scoundrel called Wrangler who will stop at nothing to get the old scroll away from them. Here is one of the “earthy,” do-or-die puzzles dished out by the merciless scroll:
Where the Nile’s but a baby, where the land is in a horn,
bone detectives think that, maybe, there humanity was born.
Lady Lucy, upright Lucy was a person from those times.
Lucy’s home was in a country that you dig up from these rhymes.
