Introduction

The No Fixed Address Version 2 (NFA v.2) is an innovative research initiative aimed at tackling the critical issue of homelessness following discharge from psychiatric hospital programs. Led by Dr. Cheryl Forchuk at the Lawson Health Research Institute, the project seeks to evaluate and improve strategies that streamline housing and social support for those at risk of living in shelters or on the streets after their hospital stay.

Addressing a gap often overlooked in professional literature, the research brings together a multidisciplinary team and community partners to implement a pilot strategy that has already shown promising results.
