Carl, Darlene, Erin, & Dana's Web Page

(Site Last Revised: January 2006)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone!!

Once again I have broken my promise to keep this web page more current. I blame it on global warming. I will try to update this page much more frequently, and our recent purchase of a lap top computer and working digital camera may make it easier to do so.

We got a lot of snow before Christmas, but it is mostly gone now. It made driving to Thunder Bay over the holidays much easier. We had a nice visit up north. It was especially nice to see auntie Frances, whom we haven't seen in two years. We are amazed at how good the girls are at travelling long distances in the car. No DVD player needed so far.....

Darlene's family Christmas takes place in Toronto over the first weekend in January, at uncle Pat's house. We'll report on that in a later update.

Around the house, we did a bit of work on the front entance this fall. We painted the steel door, stripped the frame down to natural wood, painted the front storm door trim, and bought a new door handle and door lock. We also bought a new mail box and decorated the front with some new LED Christmas lights.

We finally had to replace Darlene's old 1990 Toyota Corolla due to safety reasons. The body was rusted out very badly and we feared the car would break in half some day. Also, the fuel system completely rusted out, dumping gas all over the driveway. We replaced it with a used 2004 Ford Focus Wagon . This car is loaded with options, handles really well, and is fun to drive. We like it a lot.

The girls are doing well and growing up fast. They are looking forward to a week of skiing in Quebec in February, and they really hope to get a visit from auntie Sylvia and uncle Denis this spring. Check out Erin and Dana's pages.

Take care, everyone!
