The Canada Goose is the most well-known and widespread of North American geese, which is probably why there are so many subspecies that have been found (12 to be exact). Canada Geese are monogamous, so a pair will stay together for life. They can live up to 25 years of age, making their loyalty to their mates even more impressive. Canadian Geese grow to be 0.7-1.1 m in length and have a wingspan of 1.3-1.7 m.

Voice:

Males and females actually sound different. The male Canada Goose has the well-known honk while the female has a more high-pitched hrink.
