The Google Drive

The GoogleDrive, through GMail, for our training program works very much as a hard drive on your computer except we can all access it through the combined username and password. There is a group email address for the Google Drive but it is not really to be used as an email account. Rather it is a depository of information and resources. On it we have my PD's portion where a lot of the schedules and documents are to be stored but also there is a section for you to share cool and interesting things, including cases you might have seen, xrays and ECGs. I also encourage you to use our other social media avenues to discuss cases. Please ensure patient confidentiality issues when doing so.

The GoogleDrive has a user name western.ccfpem@gmail.com. The password has been distributed at orientation and it will change at every orientation as discussed previously. You would access this as though you were accessing any Gmail account through the Gmail sign-in page.

When you access the Gmail account please head directly for the GoogleDrive as this account is not meant to be used for email purposes or for any other purpose associated with a Gmail account.

The GoogleDrive, as mentioned, works much like a hard drive on your computer. Browse through all the files and upload your own. Unless you have been asked to change something stored on the GoogleDrive, please do not edit any saved documents.

Also do not use this loggin with any other Gmail account you might have otherwise it will mix up your documents with the ones on our GoogleDrive and will start syncing things with your personal files. This is not advisable for obvious reasons.

Enjoy the GoogleDrive. Use it and share information wisely and in a scholarly fashion. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need me to show you anything.
