About Us:

Professor Nick Dyer-Witheford is an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario and is highly involved in research on the political economy of the computer and video game industry. Professor Dyer-Witheford and co-authors Stephen Kline and Greig De Peuter have recently published a book on the computer and video game industry, titled Digital Play: The Interaction of Technology, Culture and Marketing.

Sarah Coleman completed her BA in Media, Information and Technoculture at UWO and is currently working on a Masters of Library and Information Science. Current research interests within the computer and video game industry include virtual economies, ownership issues concerning avatars and other virtual property and gender issues surrounding computers and video gaming.
