This custom tab valence uses a very heavy type top fabric and is lined with Blackout Liner, which accommodates the very structured pleating. The tabs are done in an alternate fabric and the bottom have a pointed end to add some additional interest. The theme for the room was dinosaurs, so I added some custom formed dinosaurs and pointed the color of the Rod. This rod is solid pine and is reeded to add even more detail and interest to the drapery.

This large bay window was a challenge to design for. Firstly the hardware took some planning to complete and install properly. The wooden dowel is cut on an angle at each 45 degree of the window and the hardware is there to support the connection of the rod to the next rod. The Tab-topper is self lined to help with the draping of the pleats, and the tabs are made out the alternating striped demask fabric used for the Roman Blinds in another area of this Dining Room.

This window treatment was debuted in the Spring of 1997 in Aylmer. This treatment trys to keep with the century home and connects these two very unconnected windows quite well. Lace is shirred onto a rod at the top and bottom of the window to give some privacy and to soften the design.
