Celine Dion, Singer Celine Dion is regarded as one of pop music's most influential voices. Born into a large family from Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. She went on to become one of the most powerful and famed singers in the world. On July 26th, 2013, Dion was awarded with the highest rank of the Order of Canada, the Companion of the Order of Canada, by the Governor General of Canada. ![]() | Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Ice Dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir starting skating together when they were 8 and 10 years old respectively. They became the first North American team (and youngest ever) to win ice dance gold at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. They continue to compete and have been skating together for 20 years.
