On my sabbatical at T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York, and at the Centre for Experimental and Constructive Mathematics at Simon Fraser University, I have had an opportunity to seriously review my research interests and put them in the context of today's changing mathematics. In what follows I briefly outline the perspective I have gained thereby.
I have tried to restrict myself to what I actually do and not just what I think I do
or wish I did. I leave my future plans to the last section.
