Research activity in the Department covers a diversity of areas relevant to the discipline of Family Medicine, including innovations in health care delivery, natural history of illness, preventive care, medical information systems, medical education and behavioural aspects of practice. Candidates for the MClSc Degree in Family Medicine must defend a scholarly thesis, preferably based on original research (Option A) or complete a research project suitable for presentation at a professional meeting and a major essay in Family Medicine (Option B).
