Welcome to our Psychobiology of Trauma-related Disorders research pages in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology of the University of Western Ontario.
The overarching aim of our research program is to advance our understanding of human self-regulation in the context of stress and trauma from the theoretical and methodological vantages of clinical psychology and cognitive-affective neuroscience.
Our research methods include clinical, phenomenological, psychometric, cognitive psychology, computational (neural-network) modeling, psychophysiology, and neuroimaging.
The goal of our work is to yield understanding of how to help better the quality of life of youth and adults living with stress and trauma-related psychological problems.
