Training Opportunities

Clinical Training: PEPP is home to one of the most renowned Early Intervention centres in Canada with several opportunities for residents and clinical fellows. As a psychiatric resident, Dr. Palaniyappan received Laughlin Prize for his outstanding performance in the MRCPsych examinations in 2007. Ever since, he has published several books and set up various online revision courses for postgraduate psychiatric trainees in the UK and elsewhere. His educational interests involve teaching neuroscience, psychopathology and critical appraisal skills to postgraduate residents. To date, he has taught more than 1600 trainees through face-to-face teaching, and has helped nearly 3000 trainees to succeed in the MRCPsych exams in the UK. Residents and fellows are always welcome to approach him at any time!

Research Training: TransPEPP provides a unique platform that integrates cutting-edge clinical care with advanced imaging technology. As a cross-appointed faculty member in Medical Biophysics and Neuroscience, Dr. Palaniyappan welcomes applications from prospective graduate students interested in exploring the clinical applications of neuroscience in mental disorders.
