Biography

I was born in Nicaragua and came to Canada over 10 years ago to study. My path in Canada has taken me to several amazing learning institutions, including the Lester B. Pearson United Wolrd College of the Pacific in British Columbia and most recently the University of Guelph. I earned my Bachelor of Arts at Trent University, majoring in Philosophy. A turn of fate brought me to pursue a Master's degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Guelph. Following this, I have had the good fortune to begin my PhD work here at the University of Western Ontario.

Beyond my academic interests I have a great love for literature, jazz music, black coffee, spicy food, CBC Radio 2, playing with my children and looking at the moon.
