I'm the Department Chair and
Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at King's University College at Western University. I also serve as the Vice-Chair of the King's University College Faculty Association.

I'm involved in university governance at several levels: I'm member of the King's Academic Council and two of Academic's committees, and I'm a senator on the Western University Senate, and one of Senate's academic subcommittees.

I've proudly served in several additional leadership roles at King's:
  • Associate Academic Dean (2019-2022)
  • Vice-Principal & Academic Dean (Acting; Summer 2020)
  • Chair, Department of Interdisciplinary Programs (Acting; Winter 2021)
  • Chair, Department of Psychology (2017-2019)
I teach courses in Psychology & Law, Forensic Psychology, and Developmental Psychology. I've received several teaching awards, including the Western University Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and the King's University College Award of Excellence in Teaching.

My research expertise is in forensic psychology, with a focus on children's memory and forensic interviewing. Much of my work examines i
nterviewing techniques to facilitate children's memory, and developmental changes in face recognition and lineup performance. Recent work includes research on criminal responsibility and mock juror decision-making.

My work is published in academic journals such as Applied Cognitive Psychology, Law & Human Behavior, Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. Here is more information about my research program and here's my Google Scholar profile.

I'm pleased to share my expertise with the community. I have served
as an expert witness and consultant in several Canadian legal cases. I've given talks for the London Police Services and the London-Middlesex Children's Aid Society on interviewing children. My appearances in the media include interviews with CBC Radio, CIXX-FM, Maclean's, and the Globe & Mail.
