Relay for Life (Early June)
In early June, the Blenheim community participates in a 12 hour non-competitive walking relay. It allowsthe community to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Hundreds of participants get together with friends and family to celebrate cancersurvivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back in the hope of finding a cure. Visitors are always welcome!
Classic Car Show (Mid June)
If you love classic cars, then downtown Blenheim is the place to be in mid June! It offers the perfect venue for a car show with its unique angle parking. Not only is the town picturesque, but it offers everyone in the family something of interest. Those who enjoy cars can leisurely stroll through the automobiles and those who love to shop can do so as well.
Canada Day Celebration (July 1)
Enjoy a host of activities including a model airplane show, entertainment by live bands, dance, and gymnastic performances. Complimentary birthday cake will also be served to everyone singing our national anthem. The highlight of the evening will be the fantastic fireworks display presented by Brad Powell of Garden City Display Fireworks. The display will include a choreographed musical display that will not want to miss!
Cherry Festival and Sidewalk Days (Early August)
If you are looking for something to do on the third weekend of July, look no further than downtown Blenheim for a pit spitting, cherry eating, cherrific time! There are plenty of rides for the kids, free entertainment by live bands, and plenty of shopping. Cherry spitting contests and pie eating competitions will also take place, followed by prizes and so much more.
