Courses In 2024-25 I'm teaching:
Honors thesis student supervision I am pleased to supervise several terrific 4th-year honors students each year who complete their thesis under my guidance, and several bright and enthusiastic 3rd- and 4th-year students as research assistants. Prior to their thesis year, students interested in working with me should have done well in Forensic Psychology and Research Methods in Psychology. In addition, students who would like to work on a developmental project should have done well in Developmental Psychology; students who would like to work on a project with adults should have done well in Cognitive Psychology. Interested 3rd-year honors specialization students are welcome to email me to set up an appointment in the early winter before their final year to talk about possible thesis projects. I am delighted that many of the thesis students and undergraduate research assistants that I have supervised at King's have successfully gone on to complete Master's and PhD programs in forensic psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, counselling psychology, neuroscience, and personality & measurement at universities across Canada, including Simon Fraser University, Carleton University, University of Calgary, McMaster University, University of Ottawa, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Windsor, Brock University, and University of Western Ontario. At last count, nine of my lab alumni have earned PhDs. Alumni from my lab have also gone on to professional graduate programs in law, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, industrial relations, social work, business administration, and education (teachers' college) at the University of Toronto, Queen's University, University of Western Ontario, Lakehead University, University of Windsor, and University of Ottawa.
